Title: When I Plug in iPhone 6 to My Computer, JRiver 27 Instantly Crashes
Post by: PicksCDs on December 01, 2020, 08:46:20 am
I'm a codger who works mainly on my desktop, and that's where my music library resides.   I have an old iPhone 6 -- don't need the latest bells and whistles.  However, for the last two editions of JRiver -- 26 and 27 -- the instant I plug the iphone into the computer, JRiver crashes.  It will reopen, but it is an annoyance (and loses the skin settings I like).  What's the solution?

For background, I don't have JRemote installed on the phone.  I'd never even heard of it until I started searching for solutions to the problem.  I just bought it -- thinking it might be a missing link -- but it wants server information, etc.  I don't want that on my phone...and it appears the primary function for the application isn't anything I need anyway.  So, I just wasted $10...and already deleted the app.

Isn't there a simple solution to this?  Seems pretty basic.

Please try turning off support:
Options > General > Features > iPod Support
Options > General > Features > iPhone Support

If it still crashes, please provide a crash dump.  Thanks.
