While playing back audio today I switched albums and the audio went silent. Found the following in the console tool:

I've noticed on several occasions that audio seems to stop. I'm using a holiday playlist that mixes different bit depths, sample rates, and file formats and in this particular case I think the album was switching between aiff 16 bit 44k to flac 24 bit 96k. I'm using a Macbook Air with USB out to a McIntosh C48 preamp with built in DAC. Happy to share any other information you may find useful in debugging.

Some DAC's sometimes have trouble switching. You can try using MC's DSP Studio / Output Settings to resample everything to the same bitrate and sample rate.

Thanks for the tip. If I keep having a problem I'll give that a try. I like letting the DAC handle upsampling even though that might just be in my head.
