I'm a first time poster and too old to review all of the prior posts leading up to my debut. I'm too and cranky to give a crap anyway. When I first discovered JRiver -- quite a while ago -- I loved the interface. However, my faith has been seriously eroded by the high incidence of crashes. The latest crashes have erased the supposedly built-in playlists of "Recently Imported" and "Recently Ripped." Poof...gone! And a reboot hasn't brought them back.
I haven't given up on JRiver, but my initial loyalty is hanging by a thread and I'm on the cusp of an "Avoid at all costs" Facebook post. Suffice it to say...I'm shopping for better alternatives. Without a doubt, iit won't take long.

G'Day PicksCDs,
Welcome.
Aren't we all old and grumpy/cranky around here? I know I can be! :)
The Recently Imported and Recently Ripped built in Playlists are dynamic Playlists. They appear when you rip or import some new files, and after a time they are cleared and disappear. They have always worked this way. I guess you have been too busy building a Library to notice. See Jim's post back in 2018: https://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php/topic,115373.0.html
If you are having issues with MC crashing, create a thread and ask for help solving whatever issue it is. Unfortunately changes in Windows 10, if you are using that OS, have caused a lot of grief lately, for many software developers, JRiver included. But if you ask for help, someone probably will.
PS: No, I don't work for JRiver. Just a user like you. My advice only carries my own personal biases.

Please take a look at "Weird Problems" in my signature and especially at the Antivirus thread.
