Title: MC cant find my bluetooth playback device.
Post by: 666JTK666 on November 14, 2023, 08:48:11 pm
I have been having this problem for a while now (3-4 weeks) MC will not find my blue tooth audio device.
I have an SMSL AD18 speaker/headphone amp with a bluetooth reciever.
My distro is kubuntu and my browser/VLC/rest of my linux system plays back audio with no problems.
But I cant get mc to output to my amp, mc does see my headphones, my laptop speakers, even my monitor that has no speakers to output to.
MC was able to output to my amp fine reciently but i am not sure of the exact version at the time.
Is there a way to roll back or install older version's of mc  with out messing up my current install ?
all other applications that output audio see the device as (SMSL bluetooth 4.2)

If it works with some Bluetooth devices but not others, the device may be too far away.  Bluetooth has a practical limit of less than 30 feet (9 meters).

Power cycle the device.

If the rest of your system can see and use the Bluetooth device then you'll just need to select Pulseaudio as your output and let the OS handle it.
