Title: Wrong 16x9 aspect ratio playback MKV video
Post by: Paul S.A. Renaud on May 20, 2019, 05:03:49 am
Discussion moved from MC Windows to MAC. The solution suggested there was specific for MC Windows.

I have one DVD / MKV video (old documentary) which is 4x3. The DVD players play it properly. However JRiver plays in the wrong aspect ratio (16x9). In more than 99% of all my cases JRiver plays the right aspect ratio, but not for this one. The dimensions according to JRiver are 720 x 480 (metadata). Can I force JRiver through one of the metadata tags to play in 4x3?

As far as I know this functionality is not available in MC for Mac.  I wish it was.  There are a number of features of MC for video that are wonderful.  But then a few like this that are missing or sub-optimal.  I continue to hope that it gets better over time.
