Title: How to add artist name?

Hi:
 I am trying to add the artists names to my rips,but when I go to the 'Albums' drop down menu,I go to 'Sort By',then to 'Name',but that does only the title of the c.d.?!
I want to arrange my rips in alphabetical order according to artist...how?? Thanks,Huck
