This is one of the most powerul new features of MC26. It may be the easiest way to move library files from one machine to another.
Instructions
1. Connect to a Library Server on a remote machine.
2. On the client, select the files you want to download.
3. On the client, right click and choose Download from Library Server.
A copy of the files will be downloaded from the server to the client's default directory for each type of file. You can import them there or auto-import will import them.

Any way Panel can have a Download file option as well?
-
No, but it's a good idea.

This is a most welcome feature for me. I can see myself putting this to use on a regular basis. :)
-
And ... could apply to JRemote too! :D

Would be nice to have this on the right click menu too.

Next build:
NEW: Added Download From Library Server to the file right-click menu (if connected).

Thanks, Matt!

Can this be used to download files to my android phone's SD card?
What apps would be needed on the phone?
-
No. Read about Handheld Sync on the wiki.

Yes, handheld sync is great, if I am 'local' to my machine. Was looking to have 'rolling access' to more of my files.
But, thanks . . . I will seek out another solution.

Any prospect of seeing this adapted to JRemote?

Thanks!

a long awaited feature! BUT: where the downloaded files are put in the client PC? I looked in the Download directory but no ...
Thanks much
NEW: they are in the My Documents/Music directory
OK ... this should be documented somewhere (maybe in the WIKI, I did not check yet)

Fantastic feature, but I see the path for the file changing from the remote to the local directory within jriver. I don't want to alter the file path on the server!

Hi,
Probably you guys can help:
I bought an Idpi and tried to transfer the library from my computer MC27 to the Idpi. All went well except for the RadioJriver "files".
I have a few thousand downloaded from Cloudplay and organised them in playlists. But whatever I did to transfer it was not succesfull. Exported the playlists with RadioJriver files (MPL) and imported them in the media map on the Idpi but nothing .... Several times the Idpi froze so it was time consuming. But we are in lock down so time is no problem.
Is there a way to handle these RadioJriver files or should I download the files again from Cloudplay into the Idpi?
Maybe there is already a post, I red a lot of them, then I missed it.
Thanks in advance.

I'll move this to a new thread.
I don't know of a way to do it. It should be part of a backup that you can restore, but that might be more trouble.
On the Cloudplay page, go to the menu in the upper right corner, then Home.
At the top, choose My Favorites. Those are playlists you've liked.
At the right, you'll find the Download button.

Hi Jim,
Unfortunately I only liked one of the multiple Cloudplay lists.
So I understand that I need to look up what I downloaded from Cloudplay and make a new download to the Idpi.
Maybe something for MC 28?
Thanks for the quick reply.
