Title: Blu-Ray via MediaCenter on Mac
Post by: TP1964 on January 25, 2023, 03:41:23 pm
I just want to confirm what I believe to be true - at this point there is no way to play a blu-ray/BDMV file through MediaCenter on a Mac, is this correct? I can play via VNC, but doesn't appear there is a way to make that happen through the JRiver software itself. I tried to do some searching, but didn't see anything specific to playing the blu-ray files, only whether the menus would work or not. Also - I'm assuming since viewing menus on a Mac doesn't work - then there is no way to grab the individual file through media center.

What Kodi does is essentially serves you the biggest file under the blu-ray structure (assuming that it would be the movie itself.) I am wondering out loud if that's a possibility for MediaCenter?

That's correct. MC Mac can't do bdmv at this time.
You might consider ripping them to mkv's with makemkv which MC Mac supports.
