Title: Stream through Apple TV?
Post by: Moosbrugger on October 15, 2013, 09:14:03 pm
I just downloaded Mac 19.
I've read the instructions (such as they are) but for the life of me can't find any where to set the MC to play the music over an Apple TV.  Does it not exist?
Frankly, when I look at most of the stuff under tools-options, I don't have any idea what it means.
Is there a "Basic Setup" section on help that tells how to set this up?

thanks.

Go to Player/Playback Options/Device Settings/Device there is a dropdown menu where you can choose Airplay

Apple TV will resample everything to 48K so I've always been leary that the conversion may degrade the sound. I'd welcome any opinions anyone has about this.

It will. Maybe someday Apple will offer a solution.

I'm really hoping that mavricks improves the airplay abilities of 3rd party apps.  I want to be able to play out to N different airplay devices, not just the last one I selected somewhere else. =D
