Title: Cracking sound between songs
Post by: Harry Wagter on June 05, 2015, 04:51:40 am
When I'm playing my music between each song there is a cracking sound to be heard. This did not appear in the beginning and it seems to get worse. Does anybody have any experience with this, how to solve this of maybe change settings????

You've started a poll.  Use "New Topic" next time.

Please provide more details about your setup.  It could be the DAC or it could be buffer settings.

Some of these issues are covered in the Audio Troubleshooting Guide:
http://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/Audio_Troubleshooting_Guide

These issues can almost always be solved by one of these things:
* Try different settings under: Tools > Options > Audio > Settings > Play Silence at Hardware Startup
* Try different settings under Tools > Options > Audio > Settings > Pre-buffering
* Try different settings for Software Buffering under Tools > Options > Audio > Audio Device > Device Settings

However, be aware that a few DACs emit an audible audio "pop" when they switch formats. This is a hardware issue, if you have one of these, as it is actually the sound of relays switching in the DAC.
