it does, it moves it to the music folder takes the artist in question put its in that artist folder and then put its from the album tag...

ie. if i have a folder in completed called iron maiden and a sub folder fear of the dark (artist and album) when i run the import it imports this folder to database then moves it to the iron maiden folder in the music folder and then puts fear of the dark as sub folder

I never cease to be amazed by the depth of MC's capabilities :)

..... but the other issue is some of the files from the completed folders' sub folders mp3s or flacs dont transfer over....

If you provide more details about the files that fail to transfer during your import process, someone might be able to tell you how to fix that.

i would like to do everything i am doing now but all in jriver in one shot. basically able to import music from a folder do all the tagging in jriver and then transfer to the folders.... unless i do this i make new folders like the scheme i have now. so i have 4 folders where the final files move to after being tagged and transferred by jriver. they are greek music, music, flac music, and flac greek.

maybe going forward i should keep those as is and make 4 more with the same names but with new, put all the new music in the folder it matches and then just tag in jriver and not worry about moving files to those original folders?

i got very used to keeping things organized, where follows as this folder-artist-album-track....so for me to now just have all this new music thrown in a folder (even though it will be organized as i want within jriver) is throwing me off.

I guess English is not your first language and I'm struggling to understand what you mean here. Please try again to clarify your question.

I ended up getting AudioEngine HD3's:

https://audioengine.com/shop/factory-refurbished/hd3-wireless-speakers-refurbished/

These are excellent desktop speakers.  Things I like about them:

* sound quality is leaps and bounds better than the basic computer speakers they replaced
* They take up little room on my desk and are small enough to eventually fit into my other computer desk hutch if want to move them off the desk someday
* setup and operation is easy and trouble free
* they have a built in DAC that override my laptop's generic sound chip and further improves sound
* they look great with my woodgrain desk and furniture

I took a chance and purchased the refurbished version from AudioEngine.  Normally I am hesitent to buy refurbished but figured there was a better chance of getting a good result coming directly from the company.  The condition is excellent, pristine and indistringuishable from new.  I am a happy AudioEngine customer.

I'm have no doubt that even better sound is possible but can't imagine matching the quality with anything else for $279.  It might be necessary to spend several times that to achieve a significant and noticeably better result.  I will add a S6 subwoofer at some point to fill out the bass.

My only suggestion for improvement would be for AudioEngine to include a set screw to attach them to the metal stands (they just sit on top of them with no attachment).  Those of us who live in California and experienced earthquakes like Loma Prieta where large, heavy objects flew off shelves have reason to fear what can happen in these situations.  I wrapped my HD3's with velcro ties around the stands and created plastic tie down clips that secure the stands to my desk with removable mounting strips.  My little buddies are safe when the next big quake comes.

I have a number of bad CD rips from the past where metadata is missing.  I've tried using the "Lookup Track Info From On-Line Database" feature in Library Tools 20-30 times and it rarely finds any information.  Last night, it found information for one CD but the information was garbled.

Am I doing something wrong or do I need to take additional steps to find metadata for bad rips that are missing information?

I'd like to create a new 'branch' for a sub-category of views in Tree View on the left side. Basically, I want to create sub-categories grouping artists by country. Right now, if I create a new view for artists from one country, it just adds a new view to the tree every time. These additional views are added alphabetically of course, but I can group them together by calling each one 'Country Something'. But then, that list of views in the tree always shows up, amounting to over 50 entries. How can I group all those 'Country' views under one view, like a new branch, (named 'Artists by Country')? So, it would be something like 'All Artists' > 'Artists by Country' > 'Argentina' and then 'Australia' and so on.

Does JRiver have a mode where it will randomly select an album from the complete collection, play the complete album, and then randomly select another and do the same, until the mode is turned off?  Preferably one where there is an option to skip the current selection and move on to another?

I saw there is a Search DJ function but this did not seem able to do this.  I would not want to just randomly select and play indvidual tracks from albums.

If it doesn't exist, this would be a great feature enhancement.  I listen to internet radio most of the time when working and this would provide a backup when want to listen to something else.

Thanks

Can't play 4K 60 FPS from file-open URL (https://www.youtube.com/xxxx), currently can only play 1280 30 FPS youtube videos.

Requirements:
I would like to be able to play 4K 60 FPS videos via the Open from File URL (https://www.youtube.com/xxxx) and allow the user to select the video quality, e.g. 720p 60 FPS, 1080p 60 FPS, 1440p 60 FPS, 2160p 60 FPS, 4332p 60 FPS, etc.

any feedback is greatly appreciated. also, i use mp3tag to remove all the tags on mp3s so it is just id3v2.3 the flac files i leave as is and just make changes to the artist genre etc.
