Title: Connecting JRemote to MacBook via Bluetooth
Post by: chrisc on March 07, 2017, 05:30:31 am
I am giving a music concert in a hall where there is no wi-fi.  Connecting an iPad to the MacBook via Bluetooth is easy.

How does one use JRemote over a Bluetooth link please?

I sent several mails to JRemote but did not receive a reply

Or, would creating Internet Sharing on the Mac be a better idea?

You would need to have a network connection.  I've used a stand-alone portable wi-fi access point in the past for this.  I don't remember the details.

I tried this.  JRiver reported that an internet connection is needed to generate a passkey for JRemote on an iPad.  There is no 3G or cellular connection at this place, which is fairly remote in the country

You can enter an IP address instead of an Access Key.
