Title: JRemote skipping tracks in the middle of playing
Post by: Afrosheen on January 10, 2021, 02:27:18 pm
Hi, I'm wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same issue as I have been of late where I'm listening to a track and then it jumps to the next track?  I'm also experiencing an increase in the number of "Audio Streaming Errors" too.  I'm using JRemote 3.34 on MC 26 on my QNAP NAS via the docker image that Max built.  Has there been changes in the way that JRemote communicates with the media server on MC, i.e. library changes between MC26 to MC27, that makes such errors more prone to happen?

I don't experience such errors, at least not nearly as often, if I've connected to the media server from my MC on my Mac to the MC on my QNAP.

I am experiencing that, too. It is not consistent, though. Happens every once-in-a-while. I usually attribute it to a bad network connection since I am almost always on LTE when I use JRemote. I did experience it on LAN as well with MC26, at least. My MC server is also Max's docker image (on a Synology 1819+).

Good to know.  Thanks HaWi!  I'm debating on whether it would get better if I upgrade to MC27 since JRemote has seen some recent updates over the past year.

I would recommend updating. My "feeling" is (i.e. no hard evidence) that these skips are fewer with newer versions.
