Title: MC crash (blue screen) using audioengine D1 with optical connection
Post by: alhambra23 on December 30, 2015, 11:44:50 am
MC crashes (blue screen) when I use an Audioengine D1 with an optical cable (no problems with foobar)
MC program works fine w/o the optical cable.
MC 21.0.30, Windows 7 64bit (system recommendations met), Nvidia Geoforce GT620 version 361-43 (latest), Realtek digital out enabled. Realtek wasapi device.
Crash occurs as soon as I press play (flac files). I followed the troubleshooting steps (to the best of my ability; which is minor).
Any help is appreciated.
Crash log and previous attached.

A blue screen is a hardware or driver problem.

NVIDIA drivers have had some bugs lately.  You could read about them in a couple of threads about Theater View on the MC21 board.  Rolling back the driver solved the problems.

You could probably use DirectShow instead of WASAPI and it would get around the driver problem.
