New in this beta:
Added diversion. When changing zones, long touch on the new zone and you can divert from the currently playing zone to the selected zone.
-
Great addition thanks Bob, will take a look and report.
-
We'll give the props on this to Craig.
Anyway I like and use it a lot!
-
Just bumped the beta to build 429. Fixes in this:
Fixed Launch screen logo
Fixed tabs in Add to Playing now dialog (iOS13 and newer)
Fixed hard to read dialog labels (iOS13 and newer)
-
Very nice feature!
Thanks!

I use JRemote exclusively in the car over the phone's data connection...
Recently, MC31... started with JRemote 3.36, more and more often, JRemote is not moving on to playing the next track. It gets to the end of the current track, and just stops... I have to press the "next" button ">" on the car dash, then playback continues for many tracks, untill it stops again, and I have to press the next button again...
Anyone else experiencing this? It's definately getting worse.
I've checked for filetypes on the track it stops at coupled with the next track, but there's no pattern. Sometimes it's FLAC to FLAC, sometime FLAC to mp3, and so on. It's irritating.
Any ideas?

Flaky connection?
-
I "diverted" audio between three zones and all worked as expected.
-
Yep same, Diversion working well. Thanks Bob.

@marko, I have this problem ALL.THE.TIME. I use JRemote on my bike rides. Here's the scenario:
Gear up at home, earbuds in, JRemote launched on the iPhone, off I go on a journey! One song plays, then stops. I have to pull over, restart JRemote (and find the artist or playlist all over again), and then start my journey again.
How do I fix this? Before I launch JRemote while gearing up, I have to TURN OFF WIFI, so that my phone disconnects from the home wifi, and THEN launch JRemote. This works perfectly 100% of the time.
My diagnosis of the problem is that JRemote cannot keep a persistent connection, and manage the change from wifi to cellular service. I wish someone could fix it.

I'm not sure what we can do. The phone should make the transition.

I don't have to do any of this. By the time I get to the car, the phone has switched from wifi to cell (4G/5G depending on what it gets), start the car, bluetooth connects and playback begins. Tracks play continuously, until many tracks in, it doesn't move to the next track. All I need to do here is press the "Next Track" button on the dashboard, and we're away again, until sometime later, it hangs at the end of a track again.
Tonight's job is to power cycle all the network boxes, routers, pc, and modems. See if things improve for me then.

I think you may be seeing what happens when the connection is unavailable for a minute. Similar to calls breaking up, then coming back.
I've used a setting that starts audio playing when Android Auto starts. Maybe Carplay has a similar setting.
-
I certainly don't have that issue either. Do you have the Access Key and Global address set?
-
Ready for general release yet?
-
would love to get the benefit of the “All Tracks” fix in the general release of 3.40. Sorry and thanks.
-
There is one more thing I'm hoping Craig can do before we do the next release version.

New in this beta:
Sorry but I couldn't find any answers by searching the forum: how can I download the beta version? Thank you
-
Bob has to add you. It's the weekend.
-
3.40 Build 430 is up for beta testers. It has a sleep timer added under Playing Now Actions. Please give it a spin and give us some feedback. Thanks.
-
3.40 Build 431 is up for beta testers, it is the same as build 430 with the addition of being able to set the sleep timer for remote zones and it will run without JRemote being active.
-
Sleep Timer working well on Linux build. Thanks Bob.

Sleep Timer working well on Linux build. Thanks Bob.
That's a really useful feature for me as well :)
That said, it seems that build 431 broke playback on the iDevice itself (at least for me).

No problems on the iPhone13 Pro for me. Playback and SleepTimer both work fine with build 431.
-
I think that local playback issue was operator error (mine).
If I don't hear anything back concerning regressions, I'll probably make this build the distributed version this week.

I can’t get family sharing to work despite being on the same network.
