Title: Id Pi Menu Bar Went Missing
Post by: PerhapsPerhaps on January 02, 2020, 04:30:43 pm
Hi. Probably through my clumsy fingers, the menu bar previously on the bottom of the of the Id Pi screen is no longer visible and I struggle to find a way to get it back.

I search the internet a bit in Raspberry forums, but all suggestions involve command line actions, which I can not try because I struggle to get to a command line interface.

Any idea what I can do to the get the menu bar back?

Do you have one of the windows set to full screen?

Also, if you do function 99 to reboot the IdPi it should re-appear.

Thank you for you suggestions! However I have rebooted many times without avail :-(

And the only windows I see is the main menu and JRiver. Both not set to full screen.

I can get some other tools with a right hand click on the background image, but none of those available this way allow me to get the menu bar back. And I cant get to a command line to try any of the suggestion in the other forums.

I assume you are talking about the fluxbox menu bar that usually shows at the bottom of the screen.
Are you accessing it directly with video attached or via VNC/Remote Desktop?

Yes it is the menu bar usually at the buttom of the page where the opened app reside.

I attach 2 sceenshots: One with the headless mode and one with the GUI mode. I access using VNC, but the problem persists when I connect a screen.
