Title: Request simple instruction how to get started
Post by: rinman77 on April 06, 2019, 05:08:02 am
I have succeeded in playing Tidal through JRiver on my desktop PC, and I can play a music file on my Oppo player by dropping it on the Oppo name below "Playing now" , but I don't know how to send Tidal to my Oppo player, or to anything else on the network.
Searching on Wiki if very frustrating because there is a lot of information found that doesn't apply to what I want to do and thus is worthless to me at the moment.
Is there a way to find simple step by step instructions for this?
Searches find threads which are 4 years old and seem not to apply at all to the current state of the software.
A good old user manual could work great.

The wiki and forum are effectively the user manual (for good or for bad).

First of all I don't have the answer to your question; but I do have some thoughts. . .  (for good or for bad).  :)
I believe zones may be your answer (if sending a stream, via a WDM driver to an DLNA device is even possible). (I don't do that so don't know).

Start with sending a track played with MC to the Oppo and the 'other' devoices.
Once that works experiment with zones for your other devices for the same track. . . If that works see what you can do with the WDM stream from Tidal (zone switch may be your friend here)

Just my 2p.
