Title: HDCP 2.2 question to help me choose a 4k mobo
Post by: Z0001 on May 25, 2018, 06:09:37 pm
Hi

Just trying to get my head around all the loops to jump through for playing UHD rips of my discs. I have anydvd, don't yet have a 4k TV or reciever, so this is about future proofing.

With HDCP 2.2, is this effectively disabled with anydvd?

Do I need to worry about my AV chain not being HDCP2.2 compliant from playback to screen, including through the receiver?

I plan on a GTX 1060, do I need a need a mobo with HDMI 2.0a socket as well? Is this useful at all?

Thanks
Z
