Title: Short playback interruptions on Mac
Post by: nigel150 on October 17, 2016, 04:10:57 pm
I'm still in the trial period and I'm loving the sound. But I am noticing short playback interruptions when I do something like load a new web page or open up another software program (not every time, just often). It's a little jarring especially if you're playing at high volume. I'm running an older iMac running El Capitan, 8Gigs ram. Has this bug been reported before or is this normal behavior? Thanks.

I've experienced these many times and had a very long lived thread documenting my experiences.

I've reduced the number of "short interruptions" to a very very tiny number now.  The key for me was to increase the software buffering.

Tools > Options > Audio > Audio Device > Device Settings > Buffering > Software > (set value here)

I've gotten the best compromise of performance and responsiveness with 500 mS.   You could try 250 first, or go crazy and set it to 750 or 1000.

Brian.

This may have worked! Thanks!
