I notice this has been announced as a play store feature - https://android.googleblog.com/2016/07/google-play-family-library-share-what_27.html

Will jremote opt into this?

It says this at the bottom of the Play Store page for JRemote under "Additional Information":

Family Library
Eligible if bought after 7/2/2016.

the help suggests the developer can choose to make past purchases available to the family library
