Title: Consistant Crash with Colossus Card
Post by: gvanbrunt on January 06, 2012, 09:36:37 pm
I've been trying to get a Colossus card working with a Set Top Box and have had some issues. One I don't think I can get around until you can set custom filters for Analog TV. I've discussed this with Yaobing in another thread.

The other is exaclty as described in This Thread (http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=54316.0).

I can reproduce 100% of the time.

It will crash within a few seconds of the guide displaying. I'm going to do a lot more testing and see if it is related to guide or not and I'm going to collect some logs. I thought I would post this in case there is anything else you want me to look at.

OK now call me crazy. Now it no longer does it on command. However I'm getting crashes in Out_main.dll occasionally when changing channels or time shifting.

What audio output are you using?  ASIO, WASAPI - Event Style, etc.?

You might work through this:

Also, update your soundcard drivers if possible.

Was using WASAPI but played with settings as per This Thread (http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=67775.0). There is some interesting reading there concerning the audio part of JRiver so you might want to take a look. In particular there is a lip sync issue when using the option "Output Surround Sound as Dolby Digital" with Analog TV. At least with my setup. And Hiccups even though my CPU is no where near maxed out.

Edit:

I think it may be related to HDMI audio so I'll be testing with TOSLINK connection today. Will post results there.
