Title: JRemote IOS - Banjo Media? Official support?
Post by: cwm123 on May 22, 2015, 11:59:26 am
Is this the place to ask Q's about the operation of JRemote for the iOS (by Banjo Media?).  The link from their site points to this forum.

I've noticed that Video Playlists do not function like the audio playlists when playing on the iPad, iPhone, etc.  They will not automatically advance from one video to the next (as it will with direct server playback (and audio playlist)).  Is there a fix for this in the works, or is there another way to do it?

Thanks & Best Wishes,
Chris

This is the right place.  JRemote was originally a 3rd Party application, written by the user lespaul.  It is now owned by JRiver, and this board is support.

As far as your actual question, I'd have to test.  It may treat videos specially.

Is Robert (Lespaul) still involved? He has been noticeably absent since the Android version was released

We've purchased JRemote.  I hope that Robert will still be around from time to time, but I can't speak for him.

Thank you for the fast & informative reply regarding JRemote support!

I've checked & re-checked this - [Same on iPad and iPhone]

* On Server (target), video & audio playlists will advance, shuffle play, etc.
* On Device, video playlists will not advance, shuffle play, etc.

Audio Playlists work on both.

A Mixed Media Playlist (Audio & Video), will perform the same (only audio plays on target device, skips all video)

Thanks & Best Wishes,
Chris

Are we going to see any updates for this?  Last one was Nov 2014.

Yes. They have been working on it. There's some sort of delay with switching the app over to JRiver's App Store account, I think, but I'm not sure.
