Title: Does JRiver for Mac work on the new iPad Pro?
Post by: FenceFurniture on March 26, 2020, 06:21:29 pm
I'm not a Mac user, and asking on behalf of someone else.

Will JR 26 for Mac work on the new iPad Pro (which is claimed to be a full blown computer)?

Don't know.  Does it run OSX?

It's iPadOS.

It seems to me that Apple look like they are phasing out Macbook Air in favour of iPad Pro. Very restricted range of Airs (2) and only one screen size at 13". The iPad pro comes in a 12.9" variant and can have peripherals attached (printer, LG Monitor, various keyboard, external drives etc)

iPadOS and MacOS are becoming more similar in their capabilities but still are two distinct OS’s. So no, MC will not work on an iPad Pro unless JRiver port it to iPadOS. This may turn out to be much more tricky still than porting from Windows which, I’m assuming, was quite a heroic effort.
