Post by: imeric on March 23, 2013, 05:52:03 pm
I've logged this issue a few months back now I just found out know how to reproduce...
Trying to play a folder from drives & devices that has both a cue and m3u file will make MC crash. I'm using .149

Thanks.  Before you report a bug, please try the latest build.  Then report it in the thread that announced the build.

This is the latest version of MC 18.  Please post bugs here.  Please start a new thread for anything requiring discussion.  Non-bug posts will be deleted.

18.0.155 (3/22/2013)

It isn't worth the time trying to hunt down a bug that might have been already fixed.  Always worth starting from a "known current" spot.  That's all Jim was asking.  If it still happens with 155, then post back.

Understood. But If  I go to the extent of logging the bug again that's because it's still present in the latest and greatest.
Like I said. Just trying to help you guys.
Just tried it again with version .158 and problem is still there.
If you need more info let me know
thx

I'm not seeing this.

Perhaps you could provide a sample folder zip file we (and others) could test?

Just tested this again and issue still there with .169

If you try to access a folder with BOTH an .m3u and a .cue file trying to access from drives and devices will make it crash (files not in library)

How do I send the files to you guys?

Put a package on Dropbox or Google Drive then share a link to logs at jriver dot com.

It's possible the problem could be this (solved next build):

Thanks.

Thanks for the package.

It was the same problem with having CUE files that point into outer space.  It references:
"01. April Wine - I Like to Rock.wav", etc.

Which are files you don't have in the folder.

This should be handled nicely in 18.0.170 and newer (available at the top of this board).

Late answer but better late than never :) Indeed works fine now in V19. Thanks for the ongoing hard work guys!
