Title: Matroska files problems in MC13
Post by: mstram24 on July 07, 2009, 06:32:21 pm
im using MC13 and i can't play matroska (Mkv) files using the embedded player. i have CCCP installed.  im forced to use an external custom program (mp classic) to read mkv files,  which i dont want to do.  there have been previous threads about this issue but they referred to the CCCP wiki page and basically it's just a bunch of jibberish for me.

Can i have clear indications as to what i need to do in order to play those files in MC13?

thanks

Did you look into Playback Method setting under Tools > Options > File Types?

However, you should be able to play mkv files without having to configure anything.  All you need are Haali Splitter, and a video decoder that is capable of decoding the video content, usually FFDShow Video Decoder will do.  I say "usually" because FFDShow is capable of decoding many common formats.  That means having installed CCCP should get you going.  What are the video formats of your mkv files?
