Tried to install MC 22.0.9 on Windows 10 next to MC 21.0.83 and receiving BSOD every time. The BSOD occurs when the install program states "updating previous version" and the W10 error hint is: "BAD_POOL_HEADER".
Any idea whats wrong? I would greatly appreciate hints for solution.
Thanks in advance, Thomas

Try right clicking on the install file and choosing "Run as Administrator".

Antivirus problem?
This time (Malwarebytes deactivated) I've got BSOD stating "REGISTRY_FILTER_DRIVER_EXCEPTION (IFS64.sys)".
What else can be done?

I finally solved it myself and want to share my findings here. It may be helpful for other users as well.
I have a program called "Ashampoo Uninstaller" which is recording every step of any program install in order to remove it completely again when needed. Obviously MC22 has some problems with this uninstaller program which leads to a total system crash (BSOD). That's somehow strange as this didn't happen with all previous versions of MC. Obviously something has changed in the install routine of MC22 which finally leads to this incompatibility. The solution was simply to shut down the uninstaller program before installing MC22 and finally it installed without any further problems.
Have a nice day, Thomas
