Title: Move library from Windows to Mac (with Dff files)
Post by: epoyer on October 01, 2014, 01:07:59 pm
Hi,

I have some DSD files on an external hard drive.
Many fields were originally missed on these files, same for cover arts.
I did all the job of taging files and get cover arts via MC 19 on a windows based PC.

I am tryingnow to connect this hard drive to a Mac with MC 20, and restore the MC windows library on this second machine.

Problem is that all the job done on Dff files is gone.
No covert arts, and updated fields are no longer there. I have a full bunch of Dff files as unassigned.

As all the correction were done on the windows machine, I expected to get them on the Mac oneafter the backup/ restore process.
Is there a kind of incompatibility between MC for windows and one for Mac?
At least for such specific type of files.

DFF files don't support tags.  That means the only copy of the information is in the MC library.
