Title: IPOD Mini recognized as a camera
Post by: StefanS on June 21, 2004, 02:02:42 pm
Hello,

I am running MC10 with an IPod Mini. I am having no issues connecting to my home pc. It works fine.

But connecting to my laptop , the Ipod is recognized as a camera not as a handheld. When I click handheld I get the error message that I have to make sure thet it is connected.

Using Windows XP explorer I see the device with all the subfolders .

What am I missing ?

Thanks

Stefan

I'm not sure if someone will be able to answer your question in this forum, so just in case, you might want to check ipodlounge.com as they obviously have a much bigger ipod community there.

THX , I will try this forum too......

Additional Info:

Using apple itunes the mini works fine, but this is not what I wanted.

Running MC10 with the MC9 ipod plugin it displays a version error message and connects to the device but the display of artist, tracks and so on is totally disorganized and looks wrong and the sync does not work.   ?

StefanS,

Do not run the MC9 iPod plugin with MC 10, it will not work. When you install MC 10 it installs the correct version of the plugin for iPod automatically. Try reinstalling MC 10 and you should be all set.
