I'm happy with MC12, so when opening it prompted me to install an update ... no reason not to. However, with absolutely no warning, MC13 was installed. No problem I thought -- I'll simply uninstall it. Now I realize that installing MC13 hijacked at least the shell MC12 had with XP explorer. What else did it hijack??
Ss long as I've been using MC (since MJ8), I've never seen JRiver do something like this. When I want to upgrade to MC13, I'll download it and do it myself!
Otherwise ... thank you for a very fine media player in MC12!

If you will try the MC12 update routine once more, you should see this message:
JRiver Media Center version 13.0 is available for $19.98.
I'm sorry you don't like it, but it's one of the simple ways we have to communicate with users about a new release.
To get your old shell integration, just reboot.
