Title: JRiver does not recognize my external DVD drive on my Mac - Fixed
Post by: zetalep on August 12, 2015, 04:08:13 pm
Loving JRiver, loving leaving ITunes behind. However, JRiver just does not see my DVD drive on my iMac (it's a Samsung SE 208DB portable drive). ITunes and DVD Fab have no problems seeing it and reading/writing to/from it. JRiver however says that ripping is not available and check that a suitable optical drive is installed on this machine. Any ideas on why my drive is not considered "suitable" by JRiver? It is connected via a Thunderbolt dock but connecting it directly to a USB port on the iMac does not help. I'm on OSX 10.10.4.

Many thanks,

Drew

Never mind. The new build has fixed this issue so I will never know what the problem was.
