Title: MC Icon in menu bar
Post by: dmitch77 on November 12, 2022, 04:55:47 pm
As of MC 30 (currently 30.0.18), MC shows a little icon in my menu bar. See screen shot. I have Media Server running; I always have had that running, and don't recall seeing the menu bar icon before. MC29 on this same machine, same config, does not show the menu bar icon.

When I click on the icon I see two commands, "Show Media Center" and "Close Media Server".

Is there a way I can disable the display of that icon?

2017 Retina 5K iMac 27". MacOS 13.0.1. MC 30.0.18.

I *think* that indicates that MC is set to start when you restart your Mac.  Check this setting:

Tools > Options > Startup > Mac Startup > Run on Mac startup > (HERE)

Mine is set to "nothing".  If yours is set to "server" or MC and Server, then that's probably it.  If not, perhaps someone else has some good ideas.

Yep, that's it.

Thanks!
