Title: JRemote - search doesn't work if there is a " in the results.
Post by: BartMan01 on September 19, 2014, 12:45:04 pm
Seeing an issue with JRemote where having a " at the start and/or end will cause the search to return 'No results found, please try again'.

Example:
I search for 'weird'.
In the results I get these as some of my choices:
Artist - "Weird Al" Yankovic
Album - "Weird Al" Yankovic
Album - Off the Deep End
Style - Song Parody

If I choose Artist "Weird Al' Yankovic or Album "Weird Al" Yankovic, I get the 'no results found' message.
If I choose Album Off the Deep End, I get that album.
If I choose Style Song Parody, I get tracks from both albums listed.

It does not happen if the " is in the middle somewhere.  'Nat "King" Cole' is fine, but '"Addictions" Volume 1' and 'Symphony No. 1 in D major, "Titan"' both have the problem.

Edit:  Forgot to mention that I initially installed JRemote way back when it was new and had a 'meh' reaction.  It has come a LONG way since then, to the point it will probably become my primary way of accessing content when I am not managing my library or just sitting on the couch with my IR remote already in my hand.

Thanks for reporting, It`s probably a character escape issue.
Will add a fix for this in the next version.

FYI - it is still happening in the latest version.
