Title: Can Gizmo display file names instead of cover images?
Post by: JohnWalker on March 17, 2015, 03:44:00 am
I have a large (32000 tracks) collection of music files, which I have organised according to genre; these come from diverse sources, including recordings of my own vinyl LPS, and I listen mostly to classical music. Consequently, the 'normal' view of 'albums' on Gizmo produces a confusing blur of tiles with question marks, and text that has truncated the most significant piece of information - like 'Shostakovich, Dmitr....' what piece, what performer???

I've successfully changed Gizmo's default view to give me a sorted path, but it's still not at all usable. How do I replace the album cover tiles with filename text, please? This was also asked by a French poster in 2013, and I don't think he got the answer he wanted.

Also, did you know that changes to the display format only takes place after you have restarted the computer running the server version of JRiver? This doesn't facilitate makeing changes.
