Title: Found the problem, but ... MC 29.0.34 -- I cannot play SACD
Post by: AndreaT on April 17, 2022, 02:18:35 pm
Hello, this new version is for me a big problem because I cannot anymore play SACD.
There is an unusual 100% CPU load and continous sound cuts
No such a kind of problem with previous versions.
Regards, Andrea

Hello JimH, I don't think I can check anything.
I simply upgraded from .31 to this last .34 and CPU usage increased of a 25 to 30% than before!!!
Tomorrow I will revert back to the .31 build

Sorry, nothing useful there...
I was happily playing my SACD ISO with the first MC 29 released, I am sure of this, and I believe also with the .31 build (but I cannot guaranty).

Hello JimH,
I found the problem, it is due to attempting to play a 6ch SACD to 2ch Stereo only (down-mixing).
So, my fault not checking the playlist for Stereo only files.

By the way, is there an option to tell MC29 to skip any audio not being simple 2ch Stereo?

Thanks and regards,
Andrea

Regardless of the above, I am experiencing 25-30% higher CPU usage than before.
And even regular 2ch Stereo SACD are now triggering for 99% CPU usage, while before it was around 70..75%
