Title: File browser on remote control software.
Post by: mauri4deejay on July 23, 2018, 01:32:04 pm
Hi all,
I'm new to Media Center and I'm evaluating it as a music player.
Works great in my setup: Windows PC connected to an external USB DAC using manufacturer supplied ASIO driver.
My intended use is to have an android phone or small tablet as a remote controller for the player: Panel works fine for this.

I don't find a way to browse my music like a simple file browser i.e. media not grouped by artist, album or composer but simply shown as for location on disks.
I don't know if this is something that can be done using a Media Center remote control program (maybe Gizmo?) or is simply my very little knowledge about this feature plenty software.

Thanks in advance for suggestions and directions.

Regards.

It sounds like you want the "Files" view available in the Standard View interface under Audio.  After you familiarize yourself creating and editing Views you can add this same view to Gizmo, etc. by adding it to "Tools | Options | Media Network | Advanced | Customize views for JRemote, Gizmo & Panel...".
