Title: How do I set optimal Ponoworld format output?

Currently, Everything outputted to my Marantz shows up as a WAV file.  Marantz has no setting to convert incoming files, so something is going on with Ponoworld in the output process.  Any help on how to set so that the output plays the source file format?  or enhances it?
