Title: Automatic Cover Art
Post by: kiwichick on July 05, 2009, 03:33:12 am
I was going to reply in this previous post: http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=50361.msg344355#msg344355 but was advised to start a new post as that one was over 120 days old.

I have deleted the folder.jpg file responsible but is there any way to remove the cover art from all the incorrect files it has been added to without manually removing every single one?

And can I stop MJ using the folder.jpg if there is no other cover art?

I have the same problem. A fresh install of MC15 and a whole load of erroneus cover art.
The tag points to folder.jpg but I have searched everywhere and cannot even locate the .jpg's

Not sure if I have the same problem, too, but... a TON of my mp3 files were given the cover art from a seemingly random album -- every time, "The Real Group" -- which is an album I indeed own, but not 173 times over.

I've been manually removing the cover art bit by bit, but I'd love
1) to know why MC15 decided to use this cover art for all my (apparently) unmatchable mp3s
2) how one could stop it from doing this, or at least roll-back this weird problem

Take a look at what you have for folder.jpg in that directory.

Yep, had done that, but alas, no folder.jpg in that folder or parent folder.  Musta been something wonky inherited in the library from an earlier directory structure / MC library.

Oh well.  I cleaned it up manually, but thank you anyway for the reply.
