Under Options - Audio - Audio Device, there is an option 'network streamer' which can be selected.
Can anyone explain what this does? And to which kind of setup this could apply?
this questions has already been asked but without any answer

Facel,
I am not sure what you are asking about specifically. Are you asking what is a network streamer?

Not exactly
I am asking what is the purpose of such an option and how do you use it ?
best regards

I am curious too.
I was hoping that selecting this option would automatically connect to my network streamer (duh), in my case at present a HTPC with Libreelec, but it doesn't. Would this have something to do with the ID?
Anyone?

I don’t know what Tools / Audio / Audio Device / Network Streamer is for.
However if your Libreelec application supports UPNP (aka DLNA) then you should be able to push media from MC to it over the network. You need to turn this on in MC / Media Network / Advanced / DLNA server, renderer, controller, ..

So this is a very old topic and no one seemed to really answer it, but I would like to know as well. How do I identify in JRiver what device the program thinks is a network streamer under options? I can identify via all the other choices what device the program is identifying except this one "network streamer". Did any of these posters ever identify what the program is hoping to send to if we use that option?
