Hello,
I downloaded and installed MC23 for Mac, exported and imported my library from MC22. I am running OS X 10.12.5. I don't have any issues with MC22 so I am thinking it might be some issue with the new build.
After playing a song for 1 - 3 minutes at some point the audio goes silent. I hit stop then play and it plays again...until it goes silent. I turned on logging but nothing seems to indicate the start or stop of playing the file.
Any thoughts?

Are you using a network based renderer? Or a locally connected DAC ? Or something else?
Brian.

My music is stored on a NAS. My MacBook Pro mounts the NAS volume and the DAC is connected to my MBP via USB.

Hmm. Maybe your NAS connection to your computer isn't well behaved. Do you still have MC22 installed? Does it work correctly and MC23 does not?
Brian.

MC22 worked great and still works great. Nothing else has changed.
I also tried the version released today and the same thing occurred.

I also use MacBook Pro with USB DAC and MC23, but with USB HDD. No problems. So I think your problem will be around your NAS - if it is help you...
Mac with the latest OS.
And my Pro is the 2016 one with Thunderbolt 3's.

I am having similar problems as stated in the original post when using MC23. I'm using a Mac Mini with my library stored on the local 1 TB drive. I am not having this issue with MC22.

I had this happen with MC22 tonight so I tried another player (Vox) and the same thing occurred. I also tried another DAC and the same thing occurred. I rebooted my Mac (which had been up for 64 days) and the problem has gone away for now. On windows, I had the reboot fix things but not so much on the Mac. If things change, I will reply again.
