Title: Panel and bookmarking in MC24
Post by: Kreator on January 17, 2019, 09:13:57 pm
I am using a Chrome browser on my Android phone (Samsung Galaxy S9) to launch Panel and listen to podcasts while driving.
MC24 for Linux is installed at my NAS server machine at home. My favorite podcasts are downloaded to the NAS hard drive once available.
The issue is that I cannot make bookmarking work. If the phone is restarted, or even just the Chrome tab with the Panel closed, next time the podcast starts from the very beginning. Needless to say fast forwarding through a 1-2 hour long file trying to find where you stopped, and in the car, is extremely inconvenient.
Pressing the "stop" button does not help. "Use bookmarking" is on Default, and the media subtype is "podcast". I checked and there is no bookmark recorded in the file tag.
Am I doing something wrong or is bookmarking not implemented in Panel?

As a loyal and paying customer (MC 22, 23, 24 so far), may I hope to get some kind of a reply?
Or what are the other options to get technical support?

I would like to know:
- is bookmarking option implemented in MC24 Panel?
- if yes, what are the possible reasons it does not work in my scenario (Panel in Android phone web browser connecting remotely through 4G LTE)
- if not is there a plan to implement it?

Thanks.

I don't know.  Sorry.

Try using authentication on the server (if you're not).
