Title: Wireless speakers LG WK7
Post by: adviseur2 on January 20, 2020, 04:23:21 pm
Dear
I've installed JRiver media center and it manages to find all devices in the network, except my wireless speakers LG WK7.
Does anyone have a solution?

Thanks

It might take a while.  Do they support UPnP or DLNA?

On one review of the LG WK7 I read "DLNA: yes (via Chromecast)".
I can play music from mac to LG WK7 with VLC, Airfoil,
But not with JRiver media center because this programm detects my sonos, my Tv, my 5K player renderer, but not the LG WK7.

What can I do?

Chromecast is different from DLNA.  The manufacturer should list the specifications.  If it doesn't say DLNA (or UPnP) there, it probably doesn't do it.

As your speaker claims to support Chromecast, you should be able to play to it via JRemote2 (if you have an Android device) or from MC via BubbleUPnP Server.
