Title: Pop sound appears when STOP track in MC22
Post by: daithu on March 29, 2017, 03:37:52 am
Hi friends,

I have used MC22 for my DAC Wadiadi322 with PC. I turn Output Encoding to
1 DSD in native format ( require ASIO and 1xDSD capable DAC)
Everything is fine except when I STOP a track, a pop sound appeared.

Anybody has this issue like me  ? and what's the solutions ?

Regards,

Does it do it with other software? If you hit pause does it pop?

If you don't get the pop when sending to the DAC in the original format that would be the solution, unless you absolutely can hear a difference converting to DSD in MC.

In DoP mode, there's no pop sound

it pops with small click sound.

I did the following:

-Disable MC volume
-Disable System Volume

and test again: POP SOUND STILL AVAILABLE (MC 22.0.95 trial)
==============
if I unchecked : DSD bitstream in DoP Format in my ASIO => POP SOUND STILL AVAILABLE
but if I checked DSD bitstream in DoP Format in my ASIO => NO POP SOUND in any conditions

Strange...

When I play DSD256 (direct DSD), there's no pop sound.
But DSD64, DSD128 (direct DSD) => There's pop sound
DSD64, DSD128 (DoP) => There's no pop sound

Hope JRiver V23 shall improve this problem.

The pop is probably your DAC.  You can use MC's DSP Studio > Output Settings to force everything to one sample rate.
