Title: I want my CDs to rip in FLAC format, not APE.
Post by: conjotter on August 22, 2017, 12:03:04 pm
Hi.

I just purchased JRiver for use with my Pono player.

Tried to rip a CD and it came out in APE format, which I don't want, instead of FLAC, which I do.

QUESTION: How can I simply configure my JRiver to rip CDs to FLAC as a default?

Thanks.

It's an option under Encoding.

Thanks Jim.

That did the trick.

Hi Jim.

I can't transfer files to my Pono using JRiver.

My computer doesn't recognize the player.

I have transfered countless files in the past.

Any suggestions?

Power both the computer and the Pono Player off and back on.

Under MC's options for Handheld, try re-detect.

Hi Jim.

The computer says USB Device Not Recognized after I did what you suggested.

The JRiver redetect says no handheld detected at the top of the window.

Check the cable, the Pono should be detected as a mass storage device, it should appear as a drive (or two if you have the expansion sdcard slot filled).
