Title: Is there a "Windows Classic" skin that renders a bit more quickly?

Something that renders a bit faster than Aruba, etc. Without the delay when you maximize the program from the system tray.

there was a 3rd party windows skin once but i am not sure if it still can be used with newer versions.

it did not increase the speed however since it was still a skin and still had to be rendered.

fast computer and video card helps.

many people buy low end computers with bad video cards (slow) and they tend to not work well with current video games.

My computer is a bit dated it is 3.04 GHz but it is also 4+ years old. going to need to get a new one soon.

Never buy a computer with Video On the motherboard they tend to suck due to they sometimes share memory with the main memory of the computer. I made that mistake before i had it for 6 months before i handed it down to my wife.

say, such as MJ 8.

MC9 you could use it without skins, mc9.1 forced the use of skins

MC12 is much faster than MC11 in many areas

a new and faster video card will help.

if the video card is on the mother board adding system memory and if required config adjustments to allow the inboard video card to use more memory will also help.

Dual Graphics
2 x 512MB Nvidia GeForce 7900 GTX
SLI Enabled

also helps if you trade in your car to get it

I don't think this is a skin issue.

That slowness is caused by the other things that MC loads: unloaded program parts, database files, thumbnails, calculated fields etc.

For example, the memory usage changes a lot when I open a minimized MC11.1 that has a big "thumbnails" view scheme visible (about 7000 image thumbnails):

Minimized:
Memory  3.3 MB , swap file (WM)  48 MB

Maximized:
Memory  91 MB ,  swap file (WM)  129 MB
