Title: Unable to output to Bluetooth
Post by: edbro on October 13, 2018, 07:07:44 am
I am unable to get MC to play over my Bluetooth (Apple AirPods). It says
Quote
Playback could not be started on the output 'Core Audio' using the format '44.1 kHz 2ch'

I've tried manually changing the output to the AirPods in MC's options. I get the same error playing Flac as well as M4a files. Playing to the AirPods works fine in iTunes.

MacOS 10.14 Mojave
MC 24.0.56

This is probably because that bluetooth device only accepts 48kHz audio.  The solution is to have MC convert 44.1k to 48k on the fly via the DSP:  Player > DSP Studio > Output format > Sample Rate > (find the 44.1 column and set it to convert to 48)

That should do it for 44.1.  You could set ALL formats to 48k if you want, that way anything you might ever play would be compatible.

That worked. Thank you.
