Title: NEW: IdPi HDMI Sample Rate Support
Post by: BradATIMA on December 19, 2017, 03:47:14 pm
The recent IdPi update (Id:22.0.80) increases the maximum sample rate supported through the HDMI port from 48KHz to 192KHz (NUC Ids were already capable of this). This is only available for IdPi's running Media Center Id, not 20 or 22.

There is one important thing to note.

To select the HDMI port as the audio device, make sure that hardware device 0 is selected as the audio device in the Media Center options menu (Tools → Options → Audio). This is the device labeled: hw: CARD=ALSA,DEV=0… To force audio out the HDMI port, use option 17 in the main menu (Custom RPi configuration). Then, select Audio (highlight it using the arrow keys then use the right arrow to move to Select and hit enter), followed by Force HDMI.
