I have added tag information to my WAV file by MC14.
Unfortunately, I clear my library database carelessly.
As I re-import my music file (which store in harddisk of same PC), I found all the tag information which I added before was loss.
Is there any method to tag WAV file permanently?
Thanks.

Tools > Plug-in Manager... > Input > WAVE & AIFF Plugin > Configure button > Check the checkbox.

It is solved.
Thanks.

Wow, didn't know about this one!
That begs the question, why is this not on by default?

We're being conservative.
The WAV tagging standard isn't as widely supported as the tags for other lossless formats like APE and FLAC.

I was just wondering how do i tag a wav file so that information about it show in windows media play contributing artist etc i have tried using tag and rename to add an id3 tag or whatever it called but even though it saves on to the file it never shows in windows media player or itunes any help would be greatly apreciated :)

What does this conserve?

That's old information.

That's old information.
Meaning it is no longer accurate?

JRiver was concerned about writing WAV tags due to lack of standard. So tag writing to WAV was disabled by default. It was enabled in MC 17:
17.0.28 (11/3/2011)
15. Changed: WAV & AIFF tagging are enabled by default (use Plug-in Manager > Input > WAVE & AIFF > Configure to change).

Thanks for the confirmation.
