Title: Stepping Through Video One Frame at a Time
Post by: cklester on December 22, 2004, 12:28:43 am
I love how Quicktime lets me step through a video frame-by-frame (just use the cursor keys to go back and forth, SPACEBAR to pause/play). Is that available with Media Center? If not, when will it be? I mean, can I put in a request for it?! :)

Thanks!

Try using a different codec like ffdshow. This provides many keystroke combinations etc to control video playback in addition to the basic stuff MC provides.

Try using a different codec like ffdshow.

Where do I indicate which codec I want to use for particular video files?

Thanks!

Hi

This is a really useful function for me as well. I wonder if it is possible to watch a video frame by frame in MediaCenter? Why not? Does it still require me choosing ffdshow etc?  In many cases it is inconvenient/impossble to change codecs (lack of knowhow/access).

Would appreciate a technical explanation of why this function has not been implemented and if it ever will?

Thanks all
