Hi,
Just noticed that in MC 29.0.87 (and probably before as I just upgraded from MC 26) that when I copy and paste tags from older MP3 files to a new flac version of the same album, all the tags are pasted properly in the flac versions except for "Genre". The "Genre" field keeps the original data, not the pasted data. And yes, "Genre" is selected in the "Copy Tags" configuration panel.

Select the old MP3 files in MC. Press CTRL-C to copy. Next you select the tags you want to copy and paste in the configuration panel. Finally select the new flac files and press CTRL-SHIFT-V to paste the tags into the new flac files.

That's a cool feature that I wasn't aware of. I'll use it in the future.
But the problem with the "Cut and Paste Tags" remains. It copies all the selected tags from the old mp3 files to the newly ripped FLAC files EXCEPT for the "Genre" tags. It's been working for years, at least until MC26 which is the version I was using until last week when I upgraded to MC29/30.
Thanks.
Michel.
