Title: Internet views not working
Post by: Robert H on January 29, 2012, 05:29:12 pm
This is the first time I've tried to use the internet views in MC since changing to MC17 and it does not work. I receive the error "this program cannot display the we page" or "navigation to the webpage was canceled" regardless of which service I try to use. I can brows the web in both Chrome and IE. I cannot find any settings in the options for internet connection.

Firewall?
Do webgizmo, webplay, and/or webremote work?

Please Note:  YouTube support is broken in the current public build of MC because of changes at YouTube.  It has been fixed in the current betas, but there is other weird stuff holding back public release.

Is this STILL an issue with version 20???
I can access the internet with Firefox and Outlook, but apparently not with JRiver?

That's probably a firewall problem.  It definitely isn't an MC problem.

Only 5 years after last post... Now using MC 26.

If I have an album with various artists, this code will calculate the album rating based on each individual artist on that album.

Let's say I have an album called "Weird". It has 2 songs from Elvis and 2 songs from Prince. I have rated the Elvis songs 5 and 4. I have rated the Prince songs 4 and 3.

What I will now have in the Album Rating column is:

So that's issue number one.

Issue number two:

How would I modify the original "script" so that it would only count albums that have only one artist, BUT would also include those albums that have for example duets on them. This might for example be an Elvis album including a duet with Prince ("Elvis; Prince" in the artist column.)

On your album, check the tag called "Album Artist".  Is it the same for all four tracks?  You could read about it on the wiki.

Yes, thanks. I got this resolved and this was the issue.
